”Whatever You Give A Women She Will Make Greater. If You Give Her Sperm, She Will Give A Baby. If You Give Her House, She Will Give You A Home. If You Give Her Groceries, She Will Give You A Meal. If You Give Her A Smile, She Will Give You Her Heart. She Multiplies And Enlarges What Is Given To Her – William Golding”
This is by far one of the best quotes of all time and in my opinion, no better way to describe women and the irony is that it was said by a man, a great novelist William Golding. But is it really that ironic? A lot of men actually agree, so why are we women failing to see that?
Obviously, it is only natural for there to be comparison after all, it has been a male dominant world especially in the work force. Regardless, of race, culture, religion and know matter what part of the world you are from a man was always seen as the ‘breadwinner’ and the woman a ‘homemaker’
However, today a woman can be and often is a homemaker and a breadwinner.
It is the best time to be a woman. Today, more than any other time in history, more and more woman are emerging as successful entrepreneurs, woman empowerment is pretty much a daily topic and most importantly their voices are being heard something women from past generations could only dream of. Of course there are many women in history that we should thank for paving the way and making it possible for women to have a voice today. However, we are so infatuated with the idea of being equal to men that we are failing to see that we are for more superior.
So why are we setting the bar and making it all about being equal to men? I mean this in with no disrespect to men in any way shape or form. In fact, the most successful men have credited much of their success because of the women in their lives, be it a mother, sister or partner. Lets face it, women deal with so much and a far more tolerant than men, without denying that men have lovely attributes too but the focus here is on women and most men agree that they would be lost without the women in their lives.
For women, As soon as puberty hits, life is never the same again. Woman have to always go the extra mile to prove they are just as capable as men in society and when a woman puts her mind to something, more often than not she is going to achieve it. Women love to excel in every aspect of their life, whether it is being a better wife or girlfriend, homemaker, mother, friend or sister and not to mention careers. Women are always on the quest to make sure life is running smoothly often putting themselves secondary to those they love and not to mention pregnancy, labor and all the pain, emotions and life changing alterations that come with it. Pregnant or not, women can run companies, households, problem solve daily, cook, clean the list goes on and often don’t give ourselves enough credit and doubt that we are even doing a good job.
”I Think Women Are Foolish To Pretend They Are Equal To Men. They Are Far Superior And Always Have Been – William Golding”
As much as I agree with equal pay and I am all for empowering women, the real empowerment is knowing that we don’t have to constantly compare ourselves to men because what we can achieve as woman goes far beyond just being “equal to men” why are we limiting ourselves? Why do we have to compare ourselves to anyone?
We are powerful in our own right, that has been proven time and time again. By constantly comparing ourselves to men, we are limiting our own abilities and failing to see that we exceed in so many ways that the need of constantly comparing ourselves to men is actually holding us back.
