The view while driving to Leadville. Beautiful!

Leadville is a small town in Colorado within 30 minutes of a few ski resorts. I believe it’s a great location if you want to enjoy a view of the Rocky Mountains, peace and quiet, and to catch some slopes at Copper Mountain, Vail or Breckenridge. Below are my 6 recommendations of go-to places while in Leadville.

1) Bill’s Ski Rentals

Bill’s Ski Rentals is a ski shop in Leadville where you can rent snowboards, skis, boots, bindings and more! Paul and his wife were so friendly and helpful when we met with them to rent boots and bindings for our snowboards. Paul is the son of Bill, who started the ski shop here in Leadville in 1945. For all things ski/snowboard related, Paul’s your go-to guy!

Skis!

Snowboards!

2) White Mountain Snowmobile Tours

White Mountain Snowmobile Tours is only 10 minutes away from Leadville. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the equipment and location. Snowmobiling through the Rocky Mountains should be on everyone’s bucket list and White Mountain Snowmobile Tours is the place to experience it!

The group I toured with getting the run down on the rules.

We each had our own snowmobile, but you know we had to pose together one time. Haha

Check me out!

Hi Will!

3) High Mountain Pies

High Mountain Pies was honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve had. It’s like they knew exactly how Will and I like our pizza, nice and crispy. Oh, btw, I have a pizza obsession.

The caesar salad was just as good as the pizza!

4) Mount Massive Liquors

After eating pizza and/or while on vacation, who doesn’t enjoy having a drink or two?! Mount Massive Liquors is where you can get your alcohol fix. Haha

The store is pretty massive for how small the town is.

5) Conoco Gas Station

Conoco is the only store in Leadville that’s open 24hrs. It’s also home to the movie theater aka a Red Box machine. The busiest Red Box I’ve ever seen, EVER. Haha I didn’t take a picture of the gas station, but it’s good to know what’s open late if you happen to lock yourself out of the house like we did. (Long story lol)

6) Manhattan Bar

Manhattan Bar is another establishment in Leadville that stays open until 2 a.m. A nice place to hang out and have a few drinks with your friends and/or play pool. I forgot to take a picture of the bar, but it’s hard to miss. It’s the only establishment on the main street with a huge neon light sign.

I hope you enjoyed my suggestions and will have the chance to check these places out when you visit Leadville. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to leave a comment below or email me at [email protected] Xoxo BLP Loves!
