David's interest in food and cooking stemmed from a very young age, where he discovered a true admiration for celebrity Chefs and writers such as Gary Rhodes, Rick Stein, and Anthony Bourdain. Afternoon tea at The Swan is a lovely experience on a beautiful sunny day. Perch yourselves on a corner table on the upper floor and enjoy dining by the Thames. You will also be granted a beautiful, direct view of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Service was alright but not as charming as I would have expected. Despite this, our tea arrived in good time and looked great. Sandwiches were very tasty and the scones were excellent. I particularly enjoyed the Darjeeling and early grey tea. The patisserie was good in general, if a little too sweet for our tastes.

Having the view over the Thames certainly heightened our tea experience here. The food was of a very good standard and exceeded our expectations.
