Looking for a new smoothie? Did you know that Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C which is also a powerful natural antioxidant. When you consume fruits that are rich in vitamin C, it helps the human body develop resistance against infectious agents, counter inflammation, and help protect against harmful free radicals. Not only are they a great source of vitamin C but Raspberries are also rich in B-complex and vitamin K, niacin, riboflavin, and folic acid.

These vitamins function as co-factors and help body in the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein, and fats. So have been linked to weight management.Almond milk contains ground almonds and water. It’s a healthy alternative to cow’s milk, and contains more vitamins and minerals (vitamin E, A and D, manganese, selenium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron, fiber, phosphorous and calcium) than soy or rice milks.
With the addition of Almonds it’s a great protein fix and together with Raspberries it makes a tasty flavour combination.

Ingredients

  • 1 handful Spinach

  • ½ cup of Raspberries

  • ½ Banana

  • 1 handful Almonds

  • ½ cup Greek Yogurt or coconut dairy free alternative

  • ½ cup Coconut Water

  •  1 cup Almond Milk

Instructions

Blend on high speed until smooth
If using a Nutribullet fill Almond Milk to the max line.

This is a delicious creamy smoothie, extremely filling too. A great sweet treat, perfect for the kids. Yum!
