There are a just few products I don’t think I could live my Mommy Muscles life without. These are at the tippity top of my fitness must haves list and the basics that get me through each and every day on my postpartum fitness journey. WHAT’S IN MY GYM BAG
I am absolutely obsessed with this scale and the free app that connects via bluetooth. This product tracks everything from my weight to my BMI, body fat percentage, visceral fat, body water percentage, skeletal muscle, muscle mass, bone mass, protein, BMR, and even predicts my metabolic age. All of this super helpful data is obtained through my scale via the bio-impedance method and according to the human body composition. I used to hate weighing myself on the scale at my gym because all it would give me was a single number. When my weight plateaued or even went up, though I was seeing positive changes in my body image, I got discouraged. Putting in the hard work and feeling discouraged put a huge wrench in my fitness motivation. Which caused me to lapse back into my couch potato ways. This scale analyses everything so I can numerically track my fitness progress, and I love that!

At Home Workout Gear
Being a single mom means I have a little baby monster with me anywhere and everywhere I go. This sometimes means I don’t always make it to the gym. Colds, teething, fussiness, tantrums… these are just a few reasons why we may not make it out of the house some days. Having workout gear at home is essential for my postpartum fitness progress. This way I can still get a good workout in even on those cranky days or days I just don’t feel like going. Let’s be honest the ups and downs in gym motivation are going to happen. My at home fitness gear is just how I choose battle those days where I am lagging a little behind in the motivation department. I currently have two sets of barbell free weights one in 2 lb and one in 5 lb, a 15 lb kettlebell, fitness stability ball, ankle/wrist weights, and a yoga mat. These are just a few must have basics that can get me through my daily workout even on the most hectic days of mommin’.
