One of the easiest sitcoms to binge watch, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, is having a marathon of episodes screened back to back in December. Hosted by Binge-Watching and The Macbeth Of Hoxton, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Marathon is guaranteed to get fans laughing at the show’s absurd situations, witty dialogue, spot on acting and general hi-jinx.
What is it?
“I don’t know how many years on this Earth I got left. I’m gonna get real weird with it.” — Frank
Binge-Watching wants to let’s all fans of one of the 00’s best sitcoms to enjoy episodes together. Following the screening marathon, Binge-Watching is holding a quiz with limited edition prizes. This event is set to excite any hard-core fans of the show as well as those who have heard about it but never got a chance to experience it.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Centered around ‘The Gang’, the show follows the stories of five characters; Dennis Reynolds, Deandra “Sweet Dee” Reynolds, Frank Reynolds, Charlie Kelly and Ronald “Mac” McDonald as they own and managed a run-down pub – Paddy’s Pub – in South Philadelphia. The show follows each character’s dishonesty, egotism, selfishness, greed, pettiness, ignorance, laziness, and generally unethical behaviour which often lead to hilarious situations. Episodes usually find The Gang trying to hatch elaborate schemes before either failing due to incompetence or getting side tracked on minor details. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has run for 11 seasons and does not look to be finishing any time soon.
The event is scheduled to be held on the 4th of December from 18:00-23:00. Tickets will go on sale on Sunday 6th November at 11:00 and will be priced at £5. As a fan of the show, I would highly urge other fans or people interested in it to go along and give it a try. Tickets can be purchased here. For further details, check out the Facebook event.
