Hangover 101: The Ultimate Guide To Bypass Hangovers At All Costs

Hi! My name is Grace. I am a 23-year-old southern girl from Georgia with a love for all things beauty, fashion, wellness, and lifestyle. I created my blog (www.AuroraGraceCo.com) as an outlet to express my creativity (a girl can only sit in a cubicle for so many hours without going crazy) and create a community of like-minded gals (& dudes) to share, express, discuss, and inspire. Grab some Starbucks and stick around for a while. I hope you enjoy!

Alright ladies (& gents), we’ve all been there. You went out for one drink with a couple of friends the night before and now it’s Sunday afternoon. You have slept until 1pm and you feel like you’ve been hit by a truck…make that multiple trucks. Welcome to the world of the hangover.

Some of us aren’t 21 anymore – and although we’re pretty darn close, when it comes to alcohol, our bodies seem to forget that instantaneously (I’m just trying to hold on to my 20’s for dear life.).

Here are some tips on how I alleviate hangovers both the night of and the day after.

Workout to suppress a hangover

Don’t click out of your browser just yet! I know I know. Working out is the last thing you want to do – let alone think about – after buy 5 get 1 free margs the night before. But hear me out, getting in a good sweat does wonders for the body. Not only does it release endorphin’s, but working out will speed up the recovery process of indulging in a few too many drinks.

Drink water

By far the most important, and probably the most overlooked ally in your hangover cure. Hers a hint… drink water before, during, and after your night out! And definitely drink a big ol’ glass right before you hit the hay. This is going to help flush out the five vodka sodas you downed a couple hours before. I can bet that you will thank me later.

Pamper

Sometimes when you feel like $hhizz from the night before, giving yourself a little pamper sesh is about all you can do. Although I have to admit, I do little at-home mini spa day about once a week (even when I haven’t had too much to drink the night before). Reach for a moisturizing sheet mask like the Leaders Moisturizing Recovery Mask, paint your nails, take a bubble bath, and relax.

And a little Advil never hurt anybody either ;).

How do you get over hangovers?
