In the world of video games, few companies have the prestige of Rockstar Games. In terms of consistency, I would argue that they are one of the best video game publishers working today. The video games I have played that were made by Rockstar have been awesome. L.A. Noire, Grand Theft Auto VI and Red Dead Redemption are fantastic video games.

In fact, Red Dead Redemption is one of my all-time favourite video games. You can therefore imagine that I am extremely excited for Red Dead Redemption 2. However, with a game of the magnitude and scope of Red Dead Redemption 2, I expected that Rockstar, as always, would take their time in making this video game so it could be at its best possible level of quality.

Delayed Again

Delays with Red Dead Redemption 2 were inevitable. It was originally going to be released in Autumn 2017 and it was then delayed to Spring 2018. Now, we have some more news on the release of this highly anticipated video game. Rockstar has released a statement confirming that the game has been delayed again and it is now planned to be released on 26th October 2018. This is the statement in full:

We are excited to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26th 2018. We apologize to everyone disappointed by this delay. While we had hoped to have the game out sooner, we require a little extra time for polish”.

We sincerely thank you for your patience and hope that when you get to play the game, you will agree the wait will have been worth it. In the meantime, please check out these screenshots from the game. We look forward to sharing a lot more information with you in the coming weeks”.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Rockstar Games

I have no problem with this news. I can wait for Red Dead Redemption 2. As long as the final product is a worthy sequel to Red Dead Redemption, then I can deal with the wait. Moreover, I would not be averse to more delays if Rockstar deems it necessary.
