Located on the 28th floor of London’s Hilton Park Lane, Galvin at Windows boasts one of the capital’s most elegant and sophisticated dining experiences with a view. It is comprised in two sections, the main restart and the lounge. Both are run by professional and friendly staff and are worth the time spent. The lounge, in particular, is the perfect hub for socialising or spending with your loved one as you soak up the city’s impressive skyline from high up.

On to lunch, which was the main focus of our afternoon. Fine bread selections, were soon followed by possibly the best value set lunch in London. A well tuned 3-course ensemble that delivers both refined french technique and British provenance. The waiting staff are really well polished in delivering lunch here. Glasses constantly topped up and overall, the service is timed to accurate measure.

Michelin star dining doesn’t have to be an overbearing, excessive affair. Galvin at Windows proves that high end gastronomy can be enjoyed with a slightly lighter wallet and just a short lift 28 floors up.
