Kevin Hart is a comedic actor who, for some, has not always chosen the best projects to showcase his talent. His best work seems to happen when he collaborates with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in films such as Central Intelligence and Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.

Hopefully, he can establish a similar successful collaborative relationship with Tiffany Haddish after they starred together in Night School. In an interview with Variety, Kevin Hart discussed Night School as well as the upcoming Jumanji sequel.

Night School

This is what Kevin Hart said on the topic of how the idea for Night School came about:

It was something that I was just flirting with in my head, and then [producer Will Packer and I] were in London, we were at a club called the Box, and I told him, ‘Hey man, I got a funny idea, I want to know what you think of it.’ Will said, ‘Oh my God, that’s funny, what are you going to do?’ I said, ‘Dude, I want to do it.’ He said, ‘Then go do it. When you’re ready, come to me and let me know how I can help.’”

My crew fleshed out the idea, and we brought it to Packer and after that, he was on board. This is a relationship that I value because he’s a guy that I’ve watched. I’ve watched how smart he is about the projects he’s picked. Within that success, it’s only right to be a sponge and soak up as much as you can.”

Jumanji Sequel

Kevin Hart also gave some comments on whether work has begun on the Jumanji sequel yet:

We start shooting at the end of January. We almost made a billion dollars with the first one, so to have the opportunity to repeat that same level of success is beyond exciting. To get that whole crew back is exciting. I’m pumped up about it.”
