Family isn’t important, it’s everything!
August of 2017, I traveled to Los Angeles with my mother, brother, aunt and boyfriend, to celebrate my brother’s 21st birthday. It was my brother’s (Justin), boyfriend’s (Will) and mother’s (Donna) first time traveling to California, so it only made sense to have them experience Los Angeles. I’ve been to LA multiple times, so I made an itinerary of things for us to do.
Since I wanted to make sure my family experienced LA right, we got our Airbnb walking distance from Hollywood Boulevard. You would think I was an ambassador for Airbnb as much as I use it. Haha Check out these pictures of our spot.

Although, it wasn’t one of my favorite Airbnb rentals, the location made up for the home. We walked right outside of our spot and had a million options of things to do. While on this trip we decided to conserve money by cooking breakfast at the penthouse every day, so on day one we ate breakfast at the house and then got dressed to explore Hollywood Boulevard.

Look how cute my aunt is?!
My best friend (Courtney) and my goddaughter (Rose) happened to be in California the same time as us. Family!

Hollywood Boulevard celebrates L.A.’s film and entertainment heritage. The strip is filled with restaurants, museums, theatres, clubs and more! Our penthouse was located a block away from the TCL Chinese Theatre, so when we walked out of the house (and up one block) we could see the footprints of the TCL Chinese Theatre stars and the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Day one pretty much consisted on touring the entire strip.

Day two, we enjoyed breakfast and family time at the penthouse, and then drove to Venice Beach! Venice Beach is known for its carefree spirit. It’s a lively beach city with upscale commercial and residential buildings. I absolutely LOVE and will own a house on Venice Boardwalk. (Speaking that into existence!) I love the modern architecture and how convenient the location is. Venice Boardwalk is the site of funky shops, street performers, an outdoor gym, colorful murals, stylish boutiques, coffee shops, restaurant and bars galore, and skaters/skateboarders. Venice Beach/Boardwalk is a huge melting pot of its own.
Love this picture of my mom and aunt! xoxo
Just minding my business and looking good while doing so. haha
Day three, we once again woke up early to have breakfast and then headed to Runyon Canyon to hike the trail. I love to include some type of healthy exercise while on vacation and hiking is a fun, but good workout. My family didn’t really like me that much during the hike, but afterwards they were all glad to have done it. After the hike, we headed to Malibu Beach and enjoyed our last day in California at the beach, soaking up some good ole sun! I absolutely love the beach, hence, why my travel & style blog is called Beach Love Peace, but the water was sooooo freaking cold. I mean ice cold! After running from my brother, he caught me and dragged me into the water. Although, the ocean was freezing (understatement) I enjoyed how massive the waves were. We all enjoyed jumping over the waves – lol really to stay warm by constantly moving.
After a major hike just to get to the entrance of the trail. haha
I got lazy. lol
That unconditional love.

After the beach fun, we of course had to tour Rodeo Drive before leaving LA. My mom and aunt actually did a little shopping… excuse me! haha I did a lot of window shopping and photo taking.
