Chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. The flavour is pretty bland. This makes them easy to incorporate into many dishes. You can also sprinkle them on top of cereal, yogurt, vegetables or rice dishes but a smoothie is a perfect way to consume them.

Chia seeds are loaded with nutrients that can have important benefits for your body and brain function. Despite their ancient history as a dietary staple, only recently did Chia seeds become recognized as a modern day Super Food.

In the past few years, they have exploded in popularity and are now consumed by the health conscious globally. The tiny Chia seed really does pack a powerful protein punch!!Legend has it that the Aztecs and Mayans used Chia seeds to fuel physical performance, Chia means ‘strength’ in Mayan language. So this could be a perfect breakfast option for our Little Black Dress Workout.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Blueberries
  • ½ Banana fresh or (frozen, which makes the smoothie thicker)
  • 1 tablespoon of Chia Seeds whole or milled (if milled add a touch more)
  • 1 cup of Almond Milk

Instructions

If using a Nutribullet increase amount of Almond Milk to the Max line.
If not, blend until smooth or to your liking.
