In recent anime news, the cult anime series Cowboy Bebop is going to be getting a U.S. live action remake. The live action version of the Japanese animated classic is being developed by Tomorrow Studios, Marty Adelstein’s joint venture with ITV Studies. Tomorrow Studios is teaming up with Sunrise, the studio behind the original series among.

Cowboy Bebop is a space western that follows a crew of bounty hunters- Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Edward ‘Ed’ Wong and their dog, Ein- as try to capture the galaxy’s worst criminals whilst surviving unexpected dangers in zero gravity.

The original Cowboy Bebop is considered one of the best anime series of all time. It ran from 1998 – 1999 with 26 episodes. Since first being broadcast in Japan, Cowboy Bebop succeeded commercially and critically internationally and is credited with being one of the pioneering anime series (alongside the likes Ghost in the Shell) to entice Western viewers. In the US, CowBoy Bebop aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim.
