Are you looking for easy smoothie recipes to make with a Nutribullet? Do they also have to be (reasonably) healthy smoothies as well? The countless combinations of fruit and vegetables can be a bit daunting. Too much fruit and the smoothie is too sweet and far too high in sugars. Too many vegetables and the smoothie is bland with all the consistency of baby food (never used too much carrot). The general rule is to have about 60-75% vegetables for bulk and a small mix of 25-40% fruit. This will ensure that smoothie has the right consistency, is just sweet enough and has the perfect amount of nutrients. Here is a list of 8 very easy and healthy smoothie recipes that you can make with your Nutribullet.

Looking for a new smoothie? Did you know that Raspberries are an excellent source of vitamin C which is also a powerful natural antioxidant. When you consume fruits that are rich in vitamin C, it helps the human body develop resistance against infectious agents, counter inflammation, and help protect against harmful free radicals. Not only are they a great source of vitamin C but Raspberries are also rich in B-complex and vitamin K, niacin, riboflavin, and folic acid.

These vitamins function as co-factors and help body in the metabolism of carbohydrates, protein, and fats. So have been linked to weight management.Almond milk contains ground almonds and water. It’s a healthy alternative to cow’s milk, and contains more vitamins and minerals (vitamin E, A and D, manganese, selenium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, iron, fiber, phosphorous and calcium) than soy or rice milks. With the addition of Almonds it’s a great protein fix and together with Raspberries it makes a tasty flavour combination.

Chia Seed and Turmeric Nutribullet Smoothie

This smoothie exemplifies one of my favourite aspects of smoothies. It’s a perfect way of enjoying healthy ingredients that otherwise one wouldn’t consume individually, namely the Super Spice Turmeric is also the liver’s favorite spice and helps boost liver detox. It does this by assisting enzymes that actively flush out dietary carcinogens.

While Turmeric can be added to many dishes, it is sensitive to heat. Roughly 85% is destroyed when turmeric is boiled for more than 15 minutes. In addition, we can increase the bioavailability of turmeric in the body, by mixing with fats. One of the main reasons behind the low-availability of Curcumin in the body is due to its low solubility in water. Therefore you can mix Turmeric with oils such as Flaxseed Oil or Coconut Oil.
