We live in a world that promotes losing sleep and forgetting to take care of ourselves while we try to make as much money and do as much as possible. However, as you might have noticed, this is unhealthy for us all. When you don’t sleep well, you aren’t as productive as you can be and you are much more miserable.

Getting a good night’s sleep is important for making sure that you can do everything that you want to do, and stay as healthy as possible while you do so. Chances are, you could do with a lot more sleep. Products that contain the cannabidiol CBD might be able to help you with that without adding more medical issues to your life.

1 – Relieves Pain

CBD products work with your pain receptors to help you more able to deal with pain, as many people with medical marijuana prescriptions have found. It gives off a mild sedative effect that can make it easier for you to get through your day without requiring or pain medication than you usually take.

2 – Promotes Melatonin Release

CBD products can also help your brain to trigger more melatonin production throughout the nights, when taken before bed. This will help you to sleep more deeply throughout the night, leaving you feeling more rested throughout the day.

3 – Reduce Feelings of Anxiety

Because of the sedative effect that CBD creates within your body, easier to deal with symptoms of anxiety on your own, because they won’t be as intense. This can also decrease your reliance on fast acting anxiety and depression medicines over the long term, though you should talk to your doctor before changing any of your prescribed medicines.

4 – Reduce Number of Sleep Disturbances

Because you’ll be in less pain and feeling less anxiety, you are less likely to wake up in the middle of the night at the slightest sounds. This will help you get more REM sleep and wake up feeling more rested.

5 – Helps your Endocannabinoid System Return to Homeostasis

CBD helps your body to return to a state of homeostasis that helps you to modulate much of your body’s important systems, including things like your melatonin production, sleep cycle and breathing.

There are some drawbacks to using CBD products, especially if you live somewhere where marijuana is not legal. Even where it is legal, THC might still be in the product and cause problems with any employer drug tests. Be sure to check your employer handbooks before taking a product with THC in it.

You will need to talk to your doctor before adding CBD to your medical regimen. I recommend this because it can interact with other medicines exacerbate other medical conditions. Your doctor will be able to help you find a way to avoid that or tell you what to keep an eye on.

If you use recreational marijuana, you are less likely to get the concentrated effects that CBD offers other people, because CBD is in most strains of marijuana.
