Focus always plays a vital part in every aspect of our life: Study, Work, Communication and Playing some sports/games etc. With a certain degree of focus, you will get your things done more faster and better. The focus is the best way to maximize the effectiveness of your work. Learning how to stay focused and be more effective is the essential step to success.Here I have some tips that I would like to share with you guys. Wish these tips would do some help in the way of your success:)
Write down the goal and target time.
When doing something important, it would be the good practice that you have a plan before the execution. You need to set up the and estimated deadline.So the mind subconsciously will remind you to keep focusing the goals until it is achieved. Even when your brain gets tired and starts to lose some concentration, the goal will give you some kind of reminding to bring your mind back to the path.
Put your phone away.
Before I start to do some task, I usually put my cell phone away and keep it silent or on airplane mode.It will avoid a lot of distractions from your phone: Messages, Facebook notification, Email alerts etc. Once away from those digital distractions, your mind will be at peace and keep focusing what you are doing.
Take a break.
When your brain put a lot of energy on focusing, it will definitely need some rest.Now it is your break and chill time!Research shows it is the best we rest around 10-15mins after one hour of high concentration work. During the break time, it is better to let the brain to out of the zone and do something different:
Do some exercise to fresh the body and mind.
After the work, it is best that you get out of your chair and go out do some stretch work.Usually, I will come to my balcony to have a look of the outside as well as stretch my body.This will help your body to regain the strength, but also will help to refresh the brain.
Take some snacks.
Some people like having some snack during break time because it will replenish the energy in your brain. You can choose some your favorite foods to treat yourself as a reward of hardworking.
The other more useful way to improve your focus level is meditation. Through the mediation process, your mind becomes more calm and stable. It won’t be distracted easily and a higher chance of keeping focused in a longer time. Usually, I will train myself meditated in the early morning and late evening.Put things aside and just relax, listen to the voice from the outside environment to your inner voice. You will definitely feel better and become more concentrated after this.
Exercise increase body inner energy.
One last thing I am going to talk about is to build your inner energy to be focused. Stay focused need to cost a lot of energy, especially inner energy. How to increase your inner energy?
The best way is to do exercise and build a strong body, which will spontaneously increase your inner energy.Here I am talking about the regular exercise because your inner energy will not increase for one or two times of exercise. Instead, it requires regular exercises and consistency. You can do some scheduling on it. For example, I usually schedule myself go to the gym on weekdays and do some running every weekend.
