Chart Your Progress
Make a chart and keep a track of your progress on it. Remember that every little achievement counts. The purpose of this chart is not to just inform you about your progress. But the main goal is to motivate you to keep doing better. When you will look back at where you began from, you will feel more confident in yourself. Hence, plucking the courage to do more and better. And achieve new heights.
Less Enthusiasm- the Best Policy
I am not saying that you should not be excited about any new goal that you have set in life. But when you are about to set on a new mission, do not set your hopes too high. Because if you do not get what you thought in the beginning, all your excitement will die. Therefore, hold yourself back in the initial stages.
You can join an online group. There are so many on Facebook and even Instagram. These groups have members that aim at motivating people. When you join any such group, you will notice that almost all people are struggling to get somewhere. And in their quest to do so they have frowned upon a gazillion times too. Therefore, they now motivate others while striving hard to achieve their goals.
A Workout Partner
You should find for yourself a partner to accompany you to a workout session daily. Nothing gives you more positive energy than a workout session. And if you have someone to share that time with, you will even more confident. Because you spend that time talking about your goals. And many times you will end up getting the right amount of encouragement from that partner as well. Exactly what you need.
Just Do It
No matter what people are telling you if you have set a goal just get started. You will find direction yourself once you start your journey. Turn a deaf ear to people who are trying to bring you down. And just get started with what you have in mind. DO NOT delay.
Look for a source of pleasure in the goal(s) that you have set for yourself. Your goals should not be something that upset you. Or put you in some kind of insecurities. Your aims and goals should be something that brings pleasure to you. And in that pleasure, you will find all the motivation.
That’s the key. Success does not come to people who want it overnight. Because it does not work that way. You have to be very patient and give it a lot of time. If you give up almost immediately, you will never be able to achieve anything in life. You have to give it its due time. And when the results will finally show, it will motivate you more. Just wait for the right time.
Goals within Goals
There are goals. And then there are mini goals. Your job is to break the big, large goals that you have into smaller chunks. And then try achieving those mini goals turn by turn. When you will achieve one mini target, it will give you a sense of achievement. This will motivate you to achieve the second mini goal. Eventually, allowing you to achieve your larger goal.
You should reward yourself often. Because people won’t let go of a chance to bring you down. And often times you will be alone while you celebrate your success. That is not an issue at all. You alone should be sufficient for yourself. Therefore, make it a habit to reward yourself. This can be in the form of presents or a mini vacay.
Look for Inspiration
You should not stop finding inspiration. Look for it. Search for it every day. Talk to people who are a source of inspiration to you. If that is not possible, listen to people whom you think are inspirational and influential personalities. This will help you a great deal.
You should hire a coach or indulge in some form of activity. For example, you can join swimming and hire a trainer if you aspire to be a swimmer. The point is that whatever it is that you have set your mind to achieving, learn more about it. Get someone to train you in that particular field. This will only make you better.
Never Skip Two days Consecutively
Make it a rule. If you are supposed to take action on a particular day towards your goal but you are not able to do so on a single day. Do not let go of the following day not taking a step towards achieving your goal. That will make you lazy. The level of motivation might drop as well.
True that you know your goal and you are taking steps to move closer to it. Still, you should take out 5-10 minutes from your daily schedule and visualize your goal. Close your eyes. Think about how your goal would look like once you achieve it. How is it that your life will change when you achieve what you thought of. This will aspire you to better. You w0ould want to fly to that time when you are successful.
Keep a daily journal of your goal. This will allow you to be consistent and see where you stand on a daily basis. It will also give you the confidence that you are moving closer to achieving what you want to.
This is the key. You have to bid farewell to all the negativity that surrounds you. Do not let the negative vibes hit you. Stay positive. Surround yourself with people who encourage you to be a better version of yourself. Find yourself a company that helps you to move closer to your aims and goals.
